Hi there! I am just popping in to share a card I made using one of the adorable new Tiddly Ink images that are available through the Bizzy Becs Online Store. This cutie is called 'Celebrate Joyfully' and you can pre-order her now from HERE.
It's a really windy stormy day here so I am thankful to be inside for at least the next couple of hours before I have to go and pick the girls up. My eldest daughter and I are going to the cinemas tonight to see 'The Heat' and have Gold Class passes (that's the fancy seats with waiter service!) so we are quite excited about our night out.
It's challenge time again over at Just Add Ink and this week we have a colour challenge for you using some of the gorgeous new colours from Stampin' Up!
But don't stress if you don't have the exact colours, just use the closest colours that you have. Which is what I had to do! My order of the new colours only arrived late yesterday but I had already created this card and didn't have time to do another one.
I have substituted the baked brown sugar with crumb cake/kraft and the coastal cabana with cool caribbean. And I have used a cute new stamp from the Sweet Stamp Shop.
Stamps: Sweet Stamp Shop
Cardstock: Stampin' Up!
Other: impression plate from PTI, clear embossing powder
Hi there! I am just popping in at the end of a crazy weekend to share a card I made for the Seize The Birthday Blog. It was meant to be for the last sketch challenge but I never got to share it in time, so I am putting it in the Anything Goes Birthday Celebration! I hope that's okay :)
Stamps: There She Goes Clear Stamps
Paper: The cute spotted paper is Happy Go Lucky by Pebbles Inc.
It's a challenge with a difference this week at Just Add Ink! We are challenging you to 'Just Add Water'. And you can interpret that any way you like! You can use images with water, you can use watercolours, there are so many options! So we hope you will play along with us :)
Here is my card.
Image: Bunny in the bath by Whipper Snapper Designs, Sentiment by There She Goes Clear Stamps
Paper: Bo Bunny, Cardstock by Stampin' Up!
Other: Seam binding by SU!, glitter, stitching, copic markers, nestabilities, punch by SU!
Now here is a tip I learned recently and I'm probably the last person to figure this out, but I thought I would share here just in case I wasn't.
When photographing cards that are quite 'white' I find that unless I use a very dark (preferably black) background the white on the cards can look quite pink in colour.
Here are a couple of examples.
All of these cards were taken with the same camera in the same room at the same time, no changes in settings (all on auto setting) and no post editing done other than cropping and adding the watermark.
Hope this helps someone else ... I can't believe it took me so long to figure it out myself!
Just popping in to share a quick and easy card I made yesterday using some cute new stamps I got. The adorable fan and greeting are from The Sweet Stamp Shop and the brush stroke backgrounds are from My Favorite Things.
Happy Stamping! I am off to enjoy a nice quiet day at home with the girls, and hopefully get a little more stamping in. I just love school holidays!
Hi there! I just thought I would pop in with a card I made today. It's quite a simple design using just an image and some washi tape. Of course I had to add a bit of bling just to jazz it up a little :)
